Fabric Width & Seams

Most curtain fabrics come in wider roll widths, but the Lowell is woven at 54" width, which means:

To achieve standard panel height, the fabric must be rotated (turned sideways).

Because of its narrow width, additional vertical seams are required when creating full curtain panels.

Seams are therefore inevitable with this fabric. Rest assured, our artisans carefully align each seam to maintain a clean, balanced, and refined finish.

Single Panel Order Width

When ordering, you can use the Single Panel Order Width, which is the rod length your curtain should cover. This can also be calculated using our online measurement tool.

  • For split panels, Single Panel Order Width = 1/2 of the rod length
  • For a single panel, Single Panel Order Width = Rod length

The fullness (2-2.4x) is already built into the design. No need to factor it in yourself. The fabric will be cut wider than the rod length to create a luxurious, gathered effect based on the fullness.

Have a question? We are here to help.

What are linen pleated drapes?

Linen pleated drapes are window treatments made from natural linen fabric with structured pleats at the top, like pinch or French pleats. The pleats create a tailored, elegant look, while linen’s soft texture adds a relaxed feel. They hang beautifully, filter light gently, and work well in both modern and classic spaces.

Are linen pleated drapes good for light control?

Linen pleated drapes naturally offer soft light filtration, which creates a cozy and inviting feel. If you’re looking for more light control, you might consider adding a blackout or privacy lining for better coverage.

How to determine the fullness of the pleated header style?

Fullness for pleated drapery is usually pre-set, meaning the pleats create a structured look with a defined width. Typically, the finished width will be 50%-100% of the fabric width before pleating. No extra fullness needs to be added.

How to measure the pleated curtains?

To measure linen pleated drapery, measure the width of your curtain rod or track. Pleated drapery has a fixed width due to the pleating process, with the finished width typically about 50–70% of the flat fabric width. For height, measure from the bottom of the rod or track to the desired length, or from the ring’s eyelet if using rings. For accurate measurements, you can use our measurement tool.

Can I modify the size after placing an order?

Yes, you can! Just contact us  within 24 hours of placing your order to adjust the size. For more details, see our return policy.

What can I customize?

We can customize nearly everything to fit your needs. In addition to size, color, and lining, we can adjust details like the width of each pleat and the side hems. If you have specific preferences, just reach out to us!
